Farmer Astronauts is an international Performance group, specialized in working with Music as performing arts, specifically focused on freely improvisation, Dance and Poetry. Farmer Astronauts was founded in ‘SAMAUMA Residência Artística Rural’, when Korean Artist Min Jung Park was invited for a 5 month artistic residency and started collaborating together. Since then, Vitoru Kinjo, Eduardo Colombo and Min Jung Park, gradually started to make free improvisation sessions that would be the source of “Farmer Astronauts”. The aim of Farmer Astronauts work is: “To bring a transformation within ourselves that will spread around us – starts from very smaller sense, our acquaintances, society, the world!” We truly believe that every art work should have a reason to be done. Not just to make a well-done and beautiful work to be seen but to have reason and needs of speaking through that form of art. The Free Improvisation session of “Farmer Astronauts” which happens in every week, holds not only for them. They invite other artistics groups and artists to be the part of them. And this makes various possibilities in sessions such as appearing of Dance, Action, Singing, Playing and even Drawing. Farmer astronauts' work is not only for bringing people together, but also works on unity while the way of expressing and background of each one is very different. For instance, Three of the member has very different background and the ancestors that expresses in very different way of singing and expressing. But we intend to bring this difference to make "togetherness". How to be harmonized and be together while we are all different, we believe that this is the homework of the world in thesedays.
